Over the years we have had a couple of Art Contests! Those designs have been really popular, and have been used on so many different items from Stickers & Bags, to Cups and T- Shirts! Because everyone loves these art stickers & designs so much we want to allow you to have your art highlighted and show off our local artists. 

2026 Design Contest Outline

Theme: Shop Small, Shop Local, Shop Red Lodge
Contest Dates: February 10 – April 30, 2026

1. Purpose
To celebrate and promote small businesses and the unique character of Red Lodge through original designs created by the community.
2. Who Can Enter

• Open to artists, designers, students, and community members
• Open to all ages & abilities
• Unlimited Entries

3. Design Requirements

• Must be original artwork
• Suitable for a sticker (bold lines, readable text, limited fine detail)
• Family-friendly content only
• May include Red Lodge–inspired imagery (mountains, downtown, outdoor recreation, etc.)
• Must clearly reflect Shop Small, Shop Local, Shop Red Lodge
• Must contain information:

4. Submission Period

• Opens: February 10, 2026
• Closes: April 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM (local time)

5. How to Enter

• Submit design digitally or physically
• Entries are to be sent by Private message on either Facebook or Instagram, emailed to [email protected], or dropped off at the store's location.
• Include:
  • Artist name
  • Email and/or phone number - For Contacting winner
  • Title or brief description of the design

6. Judging Criteria - Designs will be judged on:

• Creativity and originality
• Alignment with the contest theme
• Visual impact and readability
• Printability as a sticker

7. Winner Selection

• Winners selected by a judging panel and then put to a  public vote (Voting - During Summer 2026)
• Winners announced in September 2026

8. Prizes

• Winning design(s) will be printed as Shop Red Lodge stickers
• Additional prizes may include gift cards, Design printed merchandise, or a Gear Stash.
  

9. Use of Winning Design

• Winning artwork may be used for promotional purposes, merchandise, and marketing related to Shop Small / Shop Red Lodge efforts

Official Contest Rules

1. Original Work
All submissions must be original artwork created by the entrant. By entering, participants confirm the design does not infringe on any copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights. No AI Generated artwork. And No Photographs, Artwork must be painting, drawing, or graphic art.

2. Artwork Specifications

• Preferred format: PNG, JPG, or PDF
• Minimum resolution: 300 DPI recommended
• Designs should work at approximately 2.5 x 3 inches in size Final Size will be determined at printing time
• No offensive, political, or inappropriate content

3. Judging & Decisions:
All judging decisions are final. Contest organizers reserve the right not to select a winner if submissions do not meet standards.

4. Rights & Usage
By submitting artwork, entrants grant the contest organizers a royalty-free, perpetual license to reproduce, distribute, and display the artwork for promotional and commercial purposes related to the contest and Shop Red Lodge initiatives.
Artists retain original ownership of their work.

5. Winner Notification
Winners will be contacted using the information provided. 

6. Agreement to Rules
By entering, participants agree to abide by all contest rules and decisions.
